The FPD Training Workshop delivers 500+ federal planners, as well as state, local, and commercial planners every year who are looking to expand their skills, earn AICP Certification Maintenance (CM) credits, and connect with industry and technical experts learn about their solutions and services.

The Training Workshop is an exclusive opportunity for federal contractors to reach planning professionals from around the world, build company awareness and thought leadership, support the federal planning community, and learn about the needs and challenges faced by planners across the federal, state, and local government sectors.

FPD Training Workshop 2025 will be held immediately after the American Planning Association’s (APA) National Planning Conference 2025 (NPC25) at the Denver Convention Center. APA NPC25 attendees from federal, state, and local government agencies will be encouraged to attend both events.

With 60+ workshop sessions, 2 keynotes, 100+ planner, technical, architect, and other speakers, 6 mobile tours, 12 networking events, the Annual Awards Reception & Program, co-location with NPC25, and a venue located in the 4th largest concentration of FPD planner members, FPD expects this year to be the largest Training Workshop yet with record-breaking attendance!

SPONSOR REGISTRATION: ALL SPONSOR STAFF will register using the Sponsor Registration site accessible in the Sponsor Service Center. Only the Sponsor Registration site includes your complimentary Full Workshop Registrations (based on your sponsor level) and special Sponsor rates for additional registrations. EVEN IF YOU ARE SPEAKING at the Training Workshop, you must register using the Sponsor Registration site. Contact your company’s booth coordinator or email Lauren (EPG’s registration manager) to get access to the Sponsor Service Center.

Once your complimentary registrations are used, additional staff can select from a Full Workshop, One-Day Tuesday, One-Day Wednesday, and Booth Access Only Registration options at special Sponsor rates.

There are many benefits to participate as a Sponsor at the event:

  • Be among a few companies in an intimate setting to connect and learn from the 500+ planners in attendance about their requirements.
  • Sponsors have an opportunity to submit presentations for consideration to speak at a Training Workshop session.
  • Meet face-to-face with a highly targeted audience of government and commercial Planners and industry partners, including Planners from these agencies and others:
    • DoD – Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines

    • Mobile App Scavenger Hunt – Attendees must visit sponsor booths to scan a QR code
    • Lead retrieval to capture attendees’ information for easy follow up post-event
  • Ample time to meet with attendees and other contractors during exclusive exhibit hall hours and several networking events.
  • Participate in mobile tours with planners eager to explore projects in the Denver area – mobile tours always sell out!
All booths for the 2025 Training Workshop will be located just outside the Westminster session rooms or in the Legacy Ballroom.
  • Foyer Booths – #1 through #8 and #9 through #23: Booths are located at the entrances / exits for session rooms Westminster I, II, III, and IV where breakout and interactive workshop sessions will be held all three days. Meals will be served in the foyer area outside of the Legacy Ballroom and high-top tables will be set throughout the foyer area.
  • Legacy Ballroom Booths – #24 – #38: Booths are located around the perimeter of the room which will be used for opening and closing keynote and general sessions. Some high-top tables will be set up near the booths.

Companies can select a Sponsor level that aligns with their business development and marketing goals and budget. There are five levels that include a booth and one level that includes sponsoring a networking event.
